I had the visit of two good friends, Vera that came from Madrid and Ellen who flew from Amsterdam. As any weekend in Porto, we started on Friday off to the beach straight from the airport to catch some sun, and ended the day feasting on grilled fish and green wine.
Saturday started early with a trip to S. Pedro de Moel, where we joined a beach ultimate tournament. A lot of frisbees flying on a wonderful beach. Just click on the photo to get more photos. What was really amazing was the mix, we had experienced and new players, portuguese, german, dutch, but also colombian, belgian, spanish, italian, luxembourg... A great mix for a really well spent day. Lots of ultimate action on the sand and interesting people on the lines.
Sunday we did a tour of Porto that was... just right. Met more friends for lunch at Serralves Art Gallery, then the wine cellars in Gaia, a walk through the city and then to the main square.
Porto won the cup that day, and as we got to the main square lots of people were coming there to celebrate. Really loud and happy. Day ended of course with a "Francesinha", the typical dish from Porto. It would be really hard to top this weekend! Definitely will remember it.
